Max Verstappen has raised further questions about his future in Formula 1, after the recent statements made to Sky Sport F1 looking forward to the United States Grand Prix in Austin. The Dutchman suggested that his next career move could potentially be his last. Currently, he is in a fierce battle for the championship with Lando Norris, but he gave the impression that his time with Red Bull is uncertain. There’s even speculation that he might consider leaving the sport altogether.

Rumors regarding Verstappen’s future have been circulating for months. His last decision might simply involve an extension to his current contract with Red Bull, set to end at the close of 2028. Still, there are reports of interest from other teams. Mercedes is keen on him, though Toto Wolff has tried to downplay the speculation, especially after signing Kimi Antonelli for 2025. Additionally, with Adrian Newey's recent move to Aston Martin, Lawrence Stroll’s team might also be looking to secure Verstappen's signature, relying on his close relationship of trust with Newey.

The three-time world champion stated firmly, "My next step, if there is one, will be my last." However, he has made clear that he's not currently focused on these decisions; instead, he's prioritizing his performance this season.

He expressed a desire for stability, saying he doesn't want to be part of multiple teams throughout his career. "I want to build a long and stable relationship with my team members and feel at home somewhere," he noted. This feeling reflects his commitment to Red Bull, where he has developed his career from the academy to becoming a three-time champion.

Overall, Verstappen remains somewhat enigmatic about his future, stating that whatever decision he makes will be crucial for his career moving forward.
