An incredible race in which absolutely everything happened. From the start, Lando Norris made a spectacular start, gaining two positions and moving up to fourth. However, despite his great reaction, the British driver was poorly positioned on his starting box, which earned him a 5-second penalty.
Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz also got off to a great start, making the most of the opening few meters to gain positions and enter the fray from the start. Both demonstrated sharp reflexes and great determination during the most chaotic moments of the start.
Red Bull had a very difficult weekend, something that was clearly reflected in the race. Max Verstappen faced multiple issues: from brake issues to tire wear and awkward pit stops. The Dutchman, starting from seventh position, only managed to cross the finish line in sixth place.
On the other hand, Yuki Tsunoda had a solid performance. After starting from tenth position, he managed to climb to ninth place, scoring his first two points with the team and sending a positive signal in the team's difficult situation.
For Sauber and Racing Bulls, the race was very difficult. Both teams were outside the points, as was the Aston Martin team. Their race pace simply wasn't enough to fight for the midfield positions, and they were overtaken at various stages of the Grand Prix.
Furthermore, the race was marked by numerous track limit penalties. Drivers such as Lando Norris, Liam Lawson, Max Verstappen, and Yuki Tsunoda received black and white flag warnings for repeatedly exceeding the limits, further complicating their performances.
For Williams, the situation was very different from recent races, where they had been consistently scoring points. This time, the team faced serious complications. Carlos Sainz received a 10-second penalty for forcing another driver off the track, and his car suffered considerable damage, forcing the team to withdraw it from the race.
Alex Albon also had a difficult day, failing to find the necessary rhythm and finishing in 12th place, outside the points. It was a weekend to forget for the British team.
A great race from both Haas drivers, who made the most of the car's performance and the race conditions. Esteban Ocon managed to finish in eighth place, scoring important points for the team. But without a doubt, the big surprise was Ollie Bearman, who, starting from last place, managed to climb into the top 10 and also score points, putting in an outstanding performance.
A key factor in the race's development was the appearance of the Safety Car, caused by the presence of parts on the track. This completely changed the strategies: several drivers benefited, while others took advantage of the opportunity to make a free stop and change tires without losing too much time.
Pierre Gasly also had a great race. The Alpine driver managed to finish in seventh place, scoring not only his first points of the season, but also the team's first points of the year.
It was an impeccable performance, with solid pace and admirable defense, especially against drivers like Max Verstappen, whom he managed to hold off for several laps. A very positive result for Alpine after a difficult start to the season.
Ferrari looked much better this weekend compared to previous races, with a more consistent and competitive performance. However, as the drivers themselves have pointed out, the team still lags behind McLaren and Mercedes in terms of pace and consistency.
Mercedes had a solid weekend, especially with George Russell, who had a great race. However, towards the end, the Briton faced tire difficulties and issues with the DRS, which has generated controversy. Russell is currently under investigation, as on one of the final laps his DRS opened in a zone where it is not permitted, which could have consequences.
For its part, McLaren was in a different league. Oscar Piastri put in an impeccable performance, dominating from start to finish to take a resounding victory. His teammate, Lando Norris, also put in a strong performance: starting from sixth place, he staged an impressive comeback to finish third, completing a 1-3 for McLaren. A key result for both championships, with the team earning valuable points in their fight for the top spots.
