From the start, Oscar Piastri confidently secured his first position, maintaining control of the race from the outset. His teammate, Lando Norris, performed an incredible maneuver by overtaking George Russell, thus consolidating the crucial 1-2 finish for McLaren.

Piastri drove a flawless race, error-free and managing tire wear exceptionally well. Meanwhile, Norris displayed solid and consistent pace, managing to open up a lead of over eight seconds over Russell, a crucial difference in the outcome of the race.

In the closing laps, Norris began to experience brake issues until they failed completely. However, the gap he had built up over Russell was key to salvaging second place, as the Mercedes driver was gaining more than three seconds per lap.

Finally, George Russell rounded out the podium with a very solid performance, scoring his second consecutive third place and demonstrating great performance at the start of this season.
Meanwhile, Max Verstappen, who started from fourth place, had a difficult start after making a mistake in the opening laps, which caused him to lose two positions to Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, both Ferrari drivers. Throughout the race, the Dutchman opted for a conservative strategy, trying to manage tire wear on a Red Bull that wasn't showing the pace necessary to fight for victory. However, in the final laps, he managed to recover positions and finish in fourth place.

As for Ferrari, both drivers started with good pace, gaining a position at the start. However, a collision between Leclerc and his teammate damaged the Monegasque's front wing, affecting his performance. Despite this, the Ferraris managed to put pressure on George Russell at certain points during the race. However, in the final stages, the Italian team's performance declined, resulting in fifth and sixth place finishes.

For his part, Lewis Hamilton struggled with his strategy, being one of the few drivers to make two pit stops. This decision cost him valuable track time, which compromised his chances of fighting for higher positions.
Other key highlights from the race include the difficult start to the season for Fernando Alonso, who, for the second consecutive race, had to retire and ended up with a DNF. It was a disastrous start for the Asturian driver, while his teammate, Lance Stroll, has achieved better performances, scoring points in both races so far.

On the other hand, Alex Albon shone again for Williams, scoring points for the second consecutive race and demonstrating the team's great potential at the start of the season.

It was also a standout day for Haas, with both drivers managing to get into the points. Despite facing complications at the start of the weekend, the American team managed to turn things around and take a very positive result.
The Racing Bulls drivers continue to show strong single-lap performance, achieving competitive qualifying positions. However, their race pace remains a weak point, as despite their strong performance in qualifying, they end up losing positions as the laps go by. The team needs to improve its tire management and strategies if it wants to consistently remain in the fight for points.

On the other hand, Red Bull driver Liam Lawson had another difficult weekend, finishing near the bottom and raising questions about his performance. His performance in these early races could jeopardize his position within the team if he fails to improve in the upcoming rounds.

As for Alpine, the situation remains critical. Both drivers were out of the points, reflecting the difficulties the team is facing at this early stage of the season. Furthermore, Jack Doohan had an even more difficult weekend after receiving a penalty in the race. Yesterday, in the Sprint, he had already been docked two points from his superlicense, and today in the main race, he lost another two. A surprising development considering the championship has only been underway for two rounds.
