From the start, Lewis Hamilton drove an incredible race, fending off an aggressive Max Verstappen who attacked from the outset. Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri showed great pace throughout the race, overtaking Verstappen in the final stretch and securing a brilliant second place.
For his part, Lando Norris had a difficult race after an unfortunate qualifying that left him in sixth place. At Turn 6 on the first lap, he made a mistake, locking a front tire and going off the track, costing him three positions and dropping to ninth. Despite the McLarens demonstrating some of the best pace of the weekend, his car proved difficult to handle. Over the 18 laps, Norris struggled with a lack of grip and was unable to get close enough to Lance Stroll, who was running directly in front of him. However, on the final lap, he managed to overtake him, salvaging a point that allows him to maintain his championship lead.
Another driver who had a difficult race was Charles Leclerc, who lost a position and expressed difficulty with the handling of his car.

On the other hand, Yuki Tsunoda shone in his Racing Bulls, achieving an impressive sixth place. His performance was outstanding, finishing ahead of a Mercedes, a McLaren, and a Red Bull, thus consolidating another strong showing this season.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli also stood out, having a solid race, while Lance Stroll surprised everyone in an Aston Martin, keeping Lando Norris's McLaren behind him for almost the entire 19 laps of the race.
At the back of the field, the rookies engaged in an intense battle, while Pierre Gasly managed to gain four positions in an Alpine that had struggled throughout the weekend. Despite the team's issues, the Frenchman staged a remarkable comeback.

The session ended with an incident between Jack Doohan and Gabriel Bortoleto, who collided in the closing moments of the race, bringing out a yellow flag on track and ending the day with a hectic finish.
