Lewis Hamilton dominates Las Vegas

The British driver once again shines under the lights of the Las Vegas street circuit, setting the best time with an impressive 1:33.825. However, Lando Norris did not make it easy for him, leaving just 0.011 thousandths of a difference in a very close finish. For his part, George Russell secured third place, completing a solid top 3 for the British.

The temperature drops, but the action rises in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas circuit continues to cool down, now with a track temperature of 13.1°C, posing new challenges for the teams. In these conditions, Mercedes has once again demonstrated its ability to quickly warm up the tires and maintain optimal performance. However, they are not alone in the fight. McLaren and Ferrari join the duel for the top positions, showing a very competitive pace heading into the weekend.
During the session, the Mercedes clearly dominated the first and third sectors, making it clear that these parts of the circuit are their strong point. On the other hand, the second sector was a scene of shared struggle between Ferrari and McLaren, who took turns taking center stage. Ferrari is emerging as a serious contender, with both drivers showing competitive pace in the fight for the top spots. On the other hand, at McLaren, although both drivers are in the points zone, Oscar Piastri cannot match the performance of his teammate Lando Norris, leaving a few places further behind.
In contrast to its usual dominance, Red Bull is completely disoriented in Las Vegas. During this session, both drivers showed an inconsistent performance, with multiple errors on the track and serious performance problems in the car. This unexpected setback forces the team to redouble their efforts during the night, working against the clock to try to reverse the situation and improve their performance in tomorrow's sessions.
Once again, Haas surprises the world, but this time with both drivers in the top 10, making clear their great performance. Alpine, for its part, is also noticeable, with Pierre Gasly showing great pace, placing himself among the best. The biggest surprise of the session, however, was Valtteri Bottas, who with a Sauber got into 11th place, above both Red Bulls.
During the session, several yellow flags were observed due to track departures, briefly interrupting the flow of activity. However, with just 20 minutes remaining, a red flag was raised due to a mechanical problem in Alex Albon's car.

The Williams driver had not been able to go out for a spin initially during the session as mechanics were working on a repair. When he finally managed to get out on the track, the mechanical problem arose, forcing the session to be stopped.
