Every point is fundamental for him in his fight against Verstappen in the championship.

With this said, Lando Norris expressed his discontent over the radio, since the team and his teammate did not make the decision to allow him to overtake to protect himself from Max Verstappen, who was rapidly approaching. Despite this, in the final laps, when Verstappen was already very close to Norris, a yellow flag appeared due to problems with Nico Hülkenberg's car.

The yellow flag was what ultimately led to the McLaren team making the decision to swap positions, allowing Norris to take the lead. However, there was also questionable handling with the appearance of the Virtual Safety Car, which was activated just after the McLarens made the change of positions. Despite this, and the fact that both drivers managed to score the most points with that 1-2.

Max Verstappen is also under investigation, since at the end of the Virtual Safety Car he got too close to Oscar Piastri, a maneuver that is out of the question. of the regulations.

The points are distributed as follows: Lando Norris adds 8 points, followed by Oscar Piastri with 7. Max Verstappen gets 6 points, while Charles Leclerc takes 5 and Carlos Sainz 4.
