During the first part of qualifying, Oscar Piastri had his time canceled for exceeding track limits on his first attempt, which prevented him from opening another lap and left him out of competition. Another big surprise was the elimination of Sergio Pérez, whose time was not enough to advance. The Mexican driver continues to go through a difficult weekend, dealing with numerous problems in his car. In addition to them, Franco Colapinto, Esteban Ocon and Zhou Guanyu were also eliminated in this phase.
In the second part of qualifying, the drivers noticed a decrease in tire grip, which made it difficult to set good times. Charles Leclerc, in his first attempt, had his time canceled for exceeding track limits. However, the Monegasque driver managed to complete another lap and placed himself in the top ten, advancing to the final phase.

In the final minutes, Yuki Tsunoda crashed into the wall, causing a red flag that frustrated the options of several drivers, such as Liam Lawson, Fernando Alonso Valtteri Bottas and Lance Stroll, who were unable to complete their fastest lap. Despite the interruptions, the two Haas drivers and Pierre Gasly, with his Alpine, managed to advance to the last part of the classification.
In Q3, the final phase of qualifying, Max Verstappen set an excellent time on his first attempt, but it was annulled for exceeding the track limits. Qualifying concluded with Carlos Sainz in a dominant position, who will start from the front row alongside Max Verstappen. In the second row will be Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, while the third row will be occupied by George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Kevin Magnussen and Pierre Gasly will be on the fourth row, and the top ten is completed on the fifth row by Alex Albon and Nico Hülkenberg.
