Adidas becomes Mercedes clothing supplier from 2025

On July 2024 the German team announced an important strategic agreement with the renowned sports brand Adidas. This contract will allow, starting with the 2025 season, Adidas to become the official supplier of all the team's clothing, marking the beginning of a collaboration that promises to bring innovation and style to the world of Formula 1.

This agreement includes the design and production of the team's official uniforms, as well as the technical clothing that will be used by drivers, engineers and other team members in the paddock and in all official activities. With this movement, the team seeks to combine the performance and functionality required by elite competition with the contemporary aesthetics and sustainability that characterizes Adidas.
The new link with Adidas puts an end to the relationships that the team had with Tommy Hilfiger and Puma Motorsport, two brands that had been key allies in recent seasons. The contracts with both brands ended at the end of the 2024 season without any renewal being proposed, which paved the way for this new stage in which Adidas will seek to leave its mark on motorsports.

This agreement not only reinforces the team's image in terms of brand, but also connects fans with a unique style that transcends the tracks. In addition, it reflects how big brands see Formula 1 as an opportunity to drive global trends and strengthen their presence in a constantly growing market.

With Adidas at the forefront of design, fans are eagerly awaiting the first samples of the new collection of uniforms and products, which will surely mark a before and after in the visual aspect of the team and in the projection of the team beyond the tracks.
Bjorn Gulden, CEO of Adidas, said in his official statement: “We are delighted to return to the world of motorsport. Interest in Formula 1 has grown enormously, reaching new consumers and influencing sport and street culture. We are proud to introduce the Three Stripes to F1 as an official partner of the Mercedes team, one of the most successful teams of all time. Together, we share a passion for speed, innovation and performance. "We will support the drivers and team to push the limits on the track, and off the track we will bring a new perspective to the sport, with exciting lifestyle products to attract a new generation of fans."

“Our partnership with Adidas represents a statement of intent as we write the next chapter of our story. It is an iconic brand that shares our dedication to maximum performance, design and refinement. “This revolutionary collaboration will redefine team and fan apparel in Formula 1. We are delighted to embark on this journey together with Adidas, with the common goal of fighting for world championships.” Express Toto Wollf, team director in the official announcement.
