The double podium of the Alpine team in the Brazilian Grand Prix could represent a difference of 30 million dollars in the income that the team would receive at the end of the season.

The weekend at Interlagos was the scene of one of the most unexpected race of the season. The weather conditions played a crucial role, and the incredible performance of both drivers from the French team was worthy of note. Both Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly managed to get on the podium, obtaining a valuable 2-3 for the team and thus reaching their first podium of the season.
From the beginning of Sunday, with qualifying in the morning, the day promised to be different, and so it was. Both French drivers managed to place themselves in the front rows for the start of the race, and in the afternoon they achieved an unexpected feat for everyone. In addition, this achievement represents the first double podium for the Alpine team since 2013, when Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean achieved it in Korea.
But more than being a historic race for the team, this result represents a complete turnaround in everything that has been their season.
Throughout the year, the team had not been able to obtain such positive results. The best performance they had achieved was tenth place by one of the drivers, while the other was out of the points. They were in ninth position in the constructors' championship, with just 14 points, below Haas, Racing Bulls and Williams.
The constructors' championship is the most important thing in Formula 1 for the teams, since the position in which each team finishes determines the amount of money they will receive at the end of the season. As the position improves, the greater the sum of money obtained. These funds are mainly allocated to the development of cars for the coming seasons, which is essential for the growth and competitiveness of the teams.
After the Brazilian Grand Prix and the double podium, Alpine manages to add 49 points, which places them in sixth position in the constructors' championship, surpassing Haas, Racing Bulls and Williams. If they manage to maintain this position during the remaining three races of the season, this podium could mean a difference of 30 million dollars in prize money.
Going from ninth to sixth position allows the team to receive a significant sum at the end of the season that will benefit the development of the cars for the coming seasons.
